We provide support to a number of charities in Oman from proceeds which we obtain from our social events.

For the 2009 – 2010 calendar year, AWG more than doubled their contributions, totalling 11,500 OMR! This was
made possible by the exceptional volunteering from our AWG Board and Membership. AWG distributed charity
funds throughout the year, with the majority being disbursed at our May luncheon. Our year-end totals are below:
•2,000 OMR: Children’s Library (Funds from Holiday Bazaar).
•1,060 OMR: Petra (AWG Calendar sales/General Fund)
•4,000 OMR: Association for Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs (Fund raising/General Fund)
•2,000 OMR: National Association for Cancer Awareness (NACA)
•1,000 OMR: Oman Association for the Disabled
•1,000 OMR: Al Noor Association for the Blind
•500 OMR: Leprosy Center
